Built after hours, too.
Da Silva Chartered Accountants was started the way you're building: alongside a full-time career, in the hours other people spend on the couch.
Leandro Da Silva is a Chartered Accountant (SA) with over twelve years' experience preparing financials for businesses of every size. He started this firm as his own "thing on the side" — so the late-night admin, the SARS uncertainty and the what-if-I-went-full-time question aren't problems he read about. They're his week too.
Every client gets fixed fees, cloud accounting and plain-language answers — because good accounting isn't about producing reports, it's about you understanding them.
Serving builders across South Africa, remotely — including in Portuguese.

FAQ
Fair questions, straight answers.
I have a full-time job and a payslip. Do I really need to declare my side income?
Yes — all income is taxable, whatever the source. SARS also increasingly receives data straight from banks, payment platforms and crypto exchanges, so "they won't notice" is a shrinking strategy. The good news: declared properly, with the deductions you're entitled to, it usually costs less than people fear.
What is provisional tax — and does it apply to me?
If you earn income no employer is withholding tax on — freelancing, an online shop, rent, consulting — you're likely a provisional taxpayer. It means two extra returns a year (IRP6) and paying as you go, instead of one nasty surprise at assessment. We register you and file them; you mostly just answer a few questions twice a year.
Should I stay a sole proprietor or register a Pty Ltd?
It depends on what you earn, your risk, and where this is going. A company isn't automatically "more professional" — sometimes it just adds admin and cost too early. We give you a straight recommendation as part of every package, and handle the setup when the time is actually right.
I've never declared my side income. Am I in trouble?
Almost always fixable — and the sooner, the cheaper. There are formal ways to come right with SARS, including voluntary disclosure, and we handle the process. Free diagnostic of where you stand, then one fixed quote. No judgement — you're far from the only one.
Am I too small to have an accountant?
No. Our starting package exists precisely for one person with a payslip and a side income. You don't have to "graduate" into deserving help — the whole point is starting right, so the thing you're building never has to be untangled later.
What does the fixed monthly fee include?
Everything listed on your stage — no hourly billing, no surprise invoices. Work outside it (a big catch-up, a SARS dispute) is quoted as a fixed project first, so you always know the cost before you commit.
